Warranties
A-1 Worcester Air's Warranty is
as follows:
- Repairs are warranted for a full year
(or life if you are a Preferred Customer with Deluxe
Membership)
- Installation labor is warranted for life as long as you
remain our regular customer and have us check your unit each spring and
fall, otherwise one year.
Trane's
products must be registered to receive the following warranties, else the base
warranty is 5 years.
- XB products: 10 years compressor and 5 years parts.
- XR products: 10 years compressor and 10 years parts.
- XL products: 12 years compressor, 10 years parts.
According to July 1993 issue of 'Consumer's Reports,'
TRANE has the fewest 'in warranty'
breakdowns.

Most any contractor can offer an extended warranty in the
form of an insurance policy. I don't know about you, but I hate dealing with
insurance companies. If a system breaks down there is an insurance claim
to be processed.
- TRANE offers
extended warranties that covers breakdowns for your choice of 5 or 10 years
on parts or parts and labor. This is a FACTORY backed warranty, not
an insurance policy that is underwritten by a re-insurer. What that means
to you is that when an extended warranty is purchased, any authorized TRANE dealer can make the warranty repairs.
